We build the systems that keep you booked and handle the busywork — so you stay focused on the work.
Anchor Hill installs the operating systems that let a local service business grow without the owner drowning in it. Built and run by an operator who has actually done it — not an agency, not a consultant who hands you a deck and leaves.
01
You didn't start this to spend your nights on scheduling and follow-up.
Most local service businesses stall for the same reasons. Leads come in and nobody follows up fast enough. The calendar has holes one week and chaos the next. Nobody knows which jobs actually made money. Every process lives in the owner's head, so the owner can never step out of the truck.
None of that is a marketing problem. It's an operations problem — and it's the one nobody sells you a fix for.
02
One system. Installed, then run.
Phase one — Install
We take the business apart and put it back together properly. Where the money leaks, which processes are manual, where the growth engine is broken. Then we build it: the intake and follow-up system, the financial visibility to see job-level profit, documented processes your team can actually run, and the engine that keeps the phone ringing. This is the heavy lift, and it happens in the first 90 days.
Phase two — Operate
Then we run it. Lead follow-up, reminders, reviews and reputation, reactivation of past customers, monthly reporting, financial dashboards. It runs on automation and AI agents, which means it keeps running without you adding a person to payroll — and without you managing it.
Install answers "how should this work." Operate means you never have to think about it again.
03
Built by an operator, not an agency.
Anchor Hill is Chris Potter. Twenty-one years of building and running businesses — and, along the way, most of the mistakes.
- Started selling online out of a basement in 2005 and grew it into a seven-figure business — then watched it collapse in 2014 on cash flow.
- Rebuilt from zero into an eight-figure e-commerce operation with roughly 100 people across departments, and sold it in 2020.
- Bought and ran a tax franchise: 46 locations, roughly 80 people at peak season.
- Built a specialty accounting firm from nothing to about $1M and 15 employees, and exited it.
Multiple businesses. Multiple exits. One failure that taught more than any of them. That is the experience being installed in your business — the systems, hiring structure, financial controls, and growth engine that let one owner run something much larger than a truck and a phone.
04
How we start.
-
The Operator's Teardown
We go through the business the way a buyer would: money leaks, manual processes, where growth is actually stuck. You get a prioritized plan of what to fix and in what order. You own that plan whether or not we work together.
-
Install
We build and install the systems from the plan. Fixed scope, fixed fee, first 90 days.
-
Operate
The system runs monthly. You get reporting, and your calendar stays full. We take a small number of clients and stay close to each one.
05
Who we work with.
We work best with owners of established local service businesses — home services, multi-location personal services, and similar — typically doing $500,000 to $5 million, where the work is good, the demand is real, and the constraint is the operation itself.
We're a poor fit for startups with no revenue, anyone looking for a $500-a-month website vendor, or an owner who wants leads without fixing what happens after the phone rings.
06
Start with a conversation.
Twenty minutes, no pitch deck. You describe how the business runs today; we'll tell you straight whether we can help and what we'd do first.
